Splügen Bräu originally belonged to the restaurant/beerhouse/diner of the same name, designed in 1960, and was later included in the Flos collection. The Splügen Bräu restaurant was a brilliant renunciation of the perception of modernism as frigid and impersonal. Splügen Bräu is a stylish and warm suspension with a history.

This suspension by Flos, Splügen Bräu is inspired on the shining surface of vacuum flasks and cocktail shakers from the 1960s. Splügen Bräu features a thick, ribbed aluminum body which aids heat dispersal. The silver-domed bulb provides indirect but concentrated light.
Splügen Bräu is polished and protected with transparent paint and has a spun aluminum reflector. Fos Splügen Bräu has a steel ceiling fitting, vacuum-formed ABS rose with gloss white finish. Splügen Bräu has a net weight of 1,5 kg.
