Replace halogen bulbs on 12V with LED (no dimming)
If you want to replace 12V halogen bulbs with LED, it is important to take into account the type of transformer you are using. The replacing process differs depending on the type of transformer you have installed; conventional or electronic transformer.
If your current bulbs operate on 12V and you have conventional transformers installed, you can simply make a one on one replacement to LED.
|Suitable LED power supplies|
If your bulbs operate on 12V and you have electronic transformers installed, it is recommended to replace the current transformers with LED power supplies. After that you can replace your current bulbs by LED bulbs. You can find two suitable LED power supplies in the table on the right.
It's best to replace the electronic transformers by LED power supplies because electronic transformers continuously require a minimum electrical load. Moreover, not every LED bulb is compatible with electronic transformers.
